Key Features

  • Slim 2-3/8-inch posts open up the widest deck view possible
  • Low-maintenance powder-coated aluminum finish
  • Quality: built to hold strong for years to come, even in harsh climates
  • Sleek, modern look
  • Easy DIY installation

Open up your deck view with a stunning Skyline Cable Railing system, anchored by slim-yet-sturdy aluminum posts. 2-3/8-inch posts minimize what's between you and your view while providing a strong, long-lasting, low-maintenance backbone for your entire railing.

Kit Includes

  • Pre-drilled or blank (undrilled) post
  • Base plate & screws to attach base plate
  • Post cap
  • Neoprene rubber base pad

How To Choose Your Post Type

  • Choose the End Post for the end of any cable run
  • Choose the Line Post for any post in the middle of a cable run with the cable passing through and on to another railing section
  • Choose the Blank Post for the middle and bottom of stairs. You'll need to drill your own holes to match your stair angle.

How To Choose Your Post Height

For 36-inch tall railing:
  • For the level surfaces of your deck, start and end cable runs with the 36-inch Pre-Drilled End Posts fill in the middle of cable runs with 42-inch Pre-Drilled Line Posts - you'll need to cut these down to the right height, as there is no 36-inch Pre-Drilled Line Post option
  • For angled stair sections, use 42-inch Undrilled Line and End Posts - you will not need to cut these down, as you'll need longer posts for the middle and bottom of stair sections.

For 42-inch tall railing:
  • For the level surfaces of your deck, use 42-inch Pre-Drilled End and Line Posts
  • For angled stair sections, use 42-inch Undrilled Line and End Posts

How To Cut Your Posts

You can cut your posts to size easily using a miter saw with a carbide-tipped blade with a high tooth count. (You'll need at least 60 teeth on a 10-inch miter saw blade).

How Many Cable Runs Per Section?

  • 36-inch posts are pre-drilled with 11 holes for cable runs
  • 42-inch posts are pre-drilled with 13 holes for cable runs
