How To Install Your Post Anchor

You don’t need to be a handyman to handle the Titan wood post anchor kit. It’s super easy to install for any homeowner.

Step 1: Use the Titan Hole Saw for Deck Post Anchors to create a pilot hole in the bottom of your wood post. For even easier installation, use the Titan Post Anchor Center Guide for a perfect pilot hole every time.

Step 2: Tap your post anchor into the pilot hole using a hammer. Drill pilot holes through the holes in the anchor and into the bottom of the post. Use the included 5-inch galvanized lag screws (the larger of the included lag screws) to attach the wood post to the anchor.

Step 3: Place your post on your deck, then use the included 3-inch ACQ-compatible lag screws (the set of 8 smaller lag screws included) to secure the post anchor to your deck.
