With the Transcend line, you can choose square balusters that are also made of composite material, or use round balusters made of sturdy aluminum.

Trex Transcend rail kits come with a top rail, bottom rail, and balusters, plus the hardware you’ll need to install your railings: brackets, gaskets, fasteners, and an adjustable foot block. (Each railing section needs at least one adjustable foot block).

The kits essentially cover everything but your posts. You can cover standard wood posts with the post sleeve of your choice from among six distinct colors. Each post sleeve is a hollow tube of capped composite material that’s strong, durable, and can match nearly any shade of Trex decking for a coordinating look.

Trex Transcend gives you a wealth of options to customize your railing look for a perfect style fit in your outdoor living space. Rails come in three different colors, which you can either match or contrast with Trex’s six post sleeve color options. We recommend choosing your railing color based on the colors of your deck and house, but also based on the view from your deck. With trendy, gray decking, a black railing setup looks incredibly sharp. Trex composite railing is easy to cut down to the size you need for your deck space. Use a carbide-tipped blade with either a miter saw or jigsaw to cut through your composite railings. When you cut your railings down, you’ll likely need an extra adjustable foot block to support your bottom rail.

Trex railing is extremely low maintenance, allowing you to spend more time enjoying your outdoor space and less time maintaining it. For Transcend railings, you won’t need much maintenance beyond occasional cleaning. To clean a Trex railing, wipe down all surfaces with a mixture of mild soap and water. (You can also use vinegar for a deeper clean). Afterwards, thoroughly rinse off all of your cleaning solution with fresh water.
