FAQ: What is the difference between the FastenMaster Tiger Claw TC-1 and the TC-2?
The Tiger Claw TC1 and Tiger Claw TC2S hidden fastener systems are both designed to attach softwood decking, they look the same. The Tiger Claw TC-1 is made from heavy gauge hardened carbon steel with a black oxide sealer topcoat. The Tiger Claw TC2S is made from stainless steel with a black oxide sealer topcoat. Because the Tiger Claw TC2S is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, guaranteeing to never rust for the life of your deck, while the Tiger Claw TC-1 clips do not offer this same guarantee.
The Tiger Claw TC-2 Hidden Deck Fastener system is sold in a box of 90 to cover approximately 50 square feet and a pail of 900 to cover approximately 500 square feet.
The 90 pack includes the fasteners, stainless steel installation screws, installation block, and driver bit; the 900 pail includes the fasteners, stainless steel installation screws, installation blocks, driver bit, and instructional DVD.
