Deck of the Month Winner - May 2020
As we move closer to the warm sunny days of summer, everyone here at DecksDirect would like to give our wonderful customer, Dwight in California, a resounding "Congratulations!"
The hardwork and planning on his gorgeous upper-level deck has earned him the title of our Deck of the Month winner for May 2020!
Adding the beautiful style of DuraLife composite decking in rich Golden Teak to his space, Dwight has created an outdoor space that connects his home to the nature that surrounds. DuraLife composite deck boards will also help ensure an incredibly long-lasting outdoor area that will be highly resistant to staining, fading, wear, water damage!
Designing a unique deck board layout, transition boards are installed perpendicular to the rest of the composite decking. A brilliant move, these transition boards, also known as breaker boards, create a better sense of space on the deck whil also breaking up the monotony of consistent decking for a one-of-a-kind look!
The Siesta board profile of DuraLife decking in Golden Teak was a perfect choice for Dwight's second level deck as it is a close resemblence to the trim of the home, yet different enough to enhance the outdoor space all on its own. Also, with the variation of coloring and shading on DuraLife deck boards, each board delivers a singular look rather than a repetitive appearance throughout.
Another fascinating piece of Dwight's deck design was the use of composite deck boards to create a perimeter wall! Enhancing the safety of his upper-level deck build as well providing a secure place for family and guests to comfortably lean against, this unique build gives the whole outdoor area a brand new feel.
With illuminating LED deck lights installed right onto the wall itself, this wall helps friends feel comfortable at night-time gatherings while enjoying the beauty of the space around them. Great job on designing a deck space that everyone can enjoy, Dwight!
Of course, with a complete deck package such as this, we would be remiss if we didn't point out the stunning addition of Fortress Pure View Rails and Glass Balusters!
