Attach the CableRail Quick-Connect® Surface Mount Turnbuckle to the face of a wood post or wall using screws or bolts. The 130° pivoting ability is perfect for terminations on stairs. Adjust the tension easily by spinning the tubular body. The longer body on the mount allows for longer runs of cable to tighten, assuring your cable runs are tensioned to code. This end fitting is used in conjunction with another Quick-Connect® Surface Mount Turnbuckle or a Quick-Connect® Fixed Surface Mount (sold separately).

This Quick-Connect® system works great with all types of wood including cedar, pressure-treated and hardwoods. When using with hardwoods such as Ipe, a slightly larger pilot hole is needed.

A typical cable run will include a fixed end Standard Quick-Connect® and a Tensioning Quick-Connect®.
Every cable assembly needs to have at least on tension fitting end. You will need to order both. Standard Quick-Connect® are non-adjustable termination fittings that do not tension. Tensioning Quick-Connect® tightens the cable.

Feeney's patented Quick-Connect® automatic locking system makes installation quick and easy. You no longer need to hassle with crimp tools or time-consuming wedge-type compression fittings. Simply push the end of the cable into the Quick-Connect® fitting, and the spring-loaded jaw automatically locks the cable into place. Don't worry, If you make a mistake and need to remove the cable, the CableRail Release Tool (sold separately) allows you to release cable from any Quick-Connect® fitting.
