Product Description
Hidden in the side of the board, CAMO deck screws create a beautiful, fastener-free deck surface. Easy to install using either Marksman tool, CAMO secures deck boards directly to the joist to reduce board movement, and they back out easily in the event a board needs to be replaced. No pre-drilling is required! And CAMO deck screws come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty that guarantees against rust and corrosion for the life of the project.
Designed for use with CAMO Marksman tools only.
Proprietary Design
- A reverse rake tip removes deck material as it bores, allowing the screw to penetrate the board without splitting
- A star drive offers more points of contact for better performance and reduces bit slippage and wear
- An aggressive lower thread pattern provides superior holding power while the reverse upper thread pulls the board tight to the joist and provides a clean, finished entry
- A unique trim head design provides a less visible point of entry
Tested by Architectural Testing Inc. (ATI)
- Exceeds ASTM Uplift Resistance in all solid and grooved wood, composite, and PVC boards tested. CAMO also exceeded ASTM Thermal Cycling standards in all solid wood, composite, and PVC and boards tested.

They look great! Review by Ron
I used your system when I replaced the decking on my two decks and they look great. The hidden fasteners give a very clean appearance and were easy to install. I would recommend your system to anybody building a deck. (Posted on 1/19/12)

“So easy, a caveman or husband can do it” Review by Nestico
After deciding to replace the boards on my 16 x 40 deck. I had two choice’s to make. What kind of material and what type of fastener system. I decided on 5/4 x 6 Cedar because it is plentiful and inexpensive here in the Pacific Northwest. Deciding on the fastener was more difficult. I really like the sleek look of hidden fasteners, but was turned off by their high cost and time consuming installation. Then I came across the Camo Hidden deck system and decided to give it a shot. I purchased the Camo Pro Tech coated 1-7/8 inch 1750 count screws. To use these screws you will need a Marksman to drive your screws into the boards. I strongly recommend buying the Marksman Pro. For a little extra money the construction is far superior than the DYI model. You are also able to drive the screws from both sides of the boards without having to reposition the tool. This is a real time saver and alone is well worth the extra money. Another handy feature is the built in board spacer for a professional look. The screw gets loaded into the Marksman and the depth and angle are set so you don’t have to worry about splitting the board or rounding out the screw. You can’t over torque the screw. The self starting Camo screw does not require pilot holes even at the end of the board. That saves serious time. Some of the things that I really like is the cost of the fasteners. They are comparable to regular deck screws. They are also very easy to install. Another great feature is being able to remove just one board for replacing or maintenance. Just unscrew the fasteners on the board you want to replace. With other hidden deck systems you need to remove all previous boards until you get to the one you want to replace. One of the few short comings of the screws are when you butt up the boards on the joist. If you don’t get your cut right on center you run the risk of splitting the board or missing the joist. The other is that the Camo system currently is only available for 2 x 6 or 5/4 x 6 boards. Perhaps in the future they will come out for a 2 x 4 model. Two very small drawbacks that should not keep you from choosing this product. With decksdirect.com low price guarantee, and fast free shipping it’s an easy choice. I highly recommend this product to anyone replacing boards or building a new deck. The trick to the Camo system is it’s simplicity. “So easy, a caveman or husband can do it”. (Posted on 8/15/11)
