Just install and enjoy – the Polaris turns on automatically at dusk and is designed to shine for up to 14 hours at a time. It all adds up to a classic look by day and warm illumination by night.
Aurora's color palette ranges from organic hues of natural brown and clay to contemporary choices in bronze, black and more. And the powder-coated aluminum creates a durable finish that ensures years of maintenance-free enjoyment.

About solar lighting.
Using a solar panel to convert sunlight into electricity, solar lighting is preferred in situations where wiring is not practical or an option. It doesn’t produce as much light as low voltage and line voltage power, so it’s most often used to create accent lights. The LED bulbs are fueled by rechargeable NiCad (Nickel Cadmium) batteries which require sunlight, with charging and run times based on the season and location. For example, solar lights in northern climates will run 8-12 hours in the summer and 3-6 hours in the winter. The same lights in southern climates, with greater sun exposure, will run even longer.

Extremely satisfied with this product. Ordered in black metal to finish mahogany posts and they look great. Product is well constructed of metal and glass and are easy to install. A terrific option if you don't want to drill holes, run wires, etc. Excellent quality. These lights have already been through a New England winter and hours of sunshine and still look great and light up faithfully every night. Highly recommended from this satisfied customer. Bought these lights about 4 weeks ago and very satisfied with product. They don't emit as much light as the low voltage type, but then again they are not intended to be a significant lighting source. Very quality construction being made out of metal and glass. Looks great with the white vinyl railings. All in all, it is well worth the money you spend on them knowing you don't have to change bulbs, run wire, replace transformers, I highly suggest them!!! (Posted on 8/4/10)
