For the installation of the Titan Wood Post Anchor into concrete, the manufacture recommends using a minimum of (6) 19/64" x 3-1/2" GRK Caliburn Concrete Screws per anchor.

The Titan Post Anchor™ is a wood post anchoring device that blends form and function in a way never before conceived. Attaching wood posts to any horizontal surface for railings or as stand alone components for signs, gates, small fences and more is now quick and easy and best of all – lasts a lifetime.

The Titan is made from heavy gauge formed galvanized steel and welded for maximum durability. The powder coat finish gives it a clean durable finish to withstand the elements.

The Titan Post Anchor has performed very well under lab destruction tests. A single unsupported cedar post withstood a concentrated point load of 250 lbs at 36” and 214 lbs at 42” high. When built into a railing system with other posts and directional changes, the horizontal load sustained by the railing is increased even further.

Rot starts where water regularly pools and collects. The Titan Post Anchor™ lifts the post up off the deck. It stays dry so your posts won’t rot. Traditional construction methods leave wood posts vulnerable to moisture – and rot.

Installation:
1. Cut the post.
2. Drill a guide hole with a hole saw.
3. Drive the anchor into the post
4. Finish with 4 lag bolts

  1. Good sturdy connection Review by Hambone

The Titan Post Anchor very sturdily attached my wood 4X4 posts to a concrete porch with a stone fascia. Attaching to the concrete was a little tricky and required several attempts to find a fastener that would anchor to the concrete below the flagstone pavers on the concrete. 1/4" Tapcon screws would not drive through the flagstone and anchor in the concrete. Ended up using lag shield anchors with the Tapcon screws. The Titan Anchor was very sturdy, although the visible screws on the low profile base do stand out. I am going to try the available skirt to cover the screws and see how that looks. The anchors arrived on the date promised and seem to work as advertised. (Posted on 9/9/09)
