What do I need to do?
Starting from right now, every time you complete an installation, take pictures and submit them to marketing@fortressiron.com or mail a CD of your pictures to P.O. Box 831268, Richardson, TX 75083-1268. You can also fill out the web form at www.fortressiron.com/calendarcontest, and submit immediately to Fortress.
What if my files are too large?
There are two free services to send files up to 2GB without creating an account. Simply place all your files/folders into one main folder, compress or zip that folder and follow the prompts.
Are there any limits to the number of photos I submit?
No! The more photos you submit, the greater your chances for winning!
What are the requirements?
The only requirement are that the photos are high resolution and in digital form. No prints please.
How do I know if my photos are high resolution?
Before you start snapping pictures with your camera, enter the menu and make sure your camera is set to the highest resolution or the largest photo size. Those are general indications that your camera is taking photos at high resolution.
Any suggestions for prize-winning shots?
Yes! Here are some great tips:
- clear clutter from project site before taking photos
- take a minute to wipe down rails to get a nice shine
- stage with patio furniture and other outdoor accessories like planters
- get plenty of light but avoid harsh shadows
- feature your beautiful Fortress Railing!
What is the deadline?
The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2010. If mailing your materials, it must be postmarked no later than October 11, 2010.
