Want a better look at CableRail?
View all our CableRail products with a helpful diagram to plan your next project.

Whether installing 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch Feeney CableRail between wood posts, composite post sleeves, decorative wood wraps, stone columns or more; the Feeney Quick-Connect® Lag allows you to showcase the deck posts of your choice while enjoying the clear open view only available with thin cable deck railing. Screw the 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch Feeney Quick-Connect® Lag directly into the outside of the post using the 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch Cable Hanger Bolt Installation Tool by Feeney (sold separately) for a durable and secure connection that attaches to the inside face of the post. This cable railing system and fitting is a perfect choice for any kind of deck railing material from cedar, pressure-treated and hardwood lumber to wooden or structural posts covered with a composite or vinyl post sleeve.

The Feeney Quick-Connect® Lag for 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch thick stainless steel cable is available in both a Standard Quick-Connect® and a Tensioning Quick-Connect® design. A standard run of stainless steel cable railing will require a Fixed End (Standard Quick-Connect®) and a Tensioning Quick-Connect® End. Every run of steel wire deck railing needs to have at least one tension fitting end. You will need to order both. Standard Quick-Connect® are non-adjustable termination fittings that do not tension. Tensioning Quick-Connect® tightens and tensions the cable by swiveling the tubular bodies.

The patented Feeney Quick-Connect® automatic locking system makes cable railing installation quick, easy, and secure. Simply mount your 1/8 inch CableRail Lags into position on your deck post via the 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch CableRail Hanger Bolt Installation Tool and no longer worry about hand-crimp tools or time-consuming compression fittings. Simply enter the end of the cable into the Quick-Connect® fitting, and the spring-loaded jaw will automatically lock the cable into place.

Standard Quick-Connect® fitting includes (1) Fixed End Quick-Connect® fitting, (1) 2 inch lag screw (for wood posts), (1) 2-1/2 inch lag screw (for posts with composite sleeves).
Tensioning Quick-Connect® fitting includes (1) Tensioning Quick-Connect® fitting, (1) 2 inch lag screw (for wood posts), (1) 2-1/2 inch lag screw (for posts with composite sleeves).

Want to remove the cable from the Quick-Connect® fitting and fix the run of cable? No problem at all with the CableRail Release Tool for 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch Cable (sold separately) which allows you to release the cable from locked-jaw fitting with no struggle at all.

Don't forget to order a Release Tool
Your installation could be delayed if you are unable to disconnect a cable from a Quick-Connect® fitting! We strongly recommend adding a Release Tool to every Feeney CableRail order!

The 1/8 inch or 3/16 inch Feeney Quick-Connect® Lag is crafted from corrosion-resistant grade 316 stainless steel and are sold individually.
